CLASSES

ACROBATIC DANCE

Our school and teachers are proud to be certified by ‘Acrobatic Arts’. Our Acrobatic Dance classes learn acrobatic skills and dance steps. Building strong technique and flexibility. Each level increases the clompexity of skills and moves taught. These classes will focuses on building flexibility and strength through a series of routines and developing confidence in executing the gymnastic skills. There is a huge emphasis on safety and well being of the students. Children thrive in our dance classes and we love watching them grow and develop confidence. 

JAZZ

Our technical Jazz classes will learn to perform and execute routines to a high standard whilst using freedom of expression to enhance their style. With a strong emphasis on technique students will learn to mast progressive turns, spins and leap. From Junior to Advanced level. All of our students will have the opportunity to take part in exams and perform in the annual LB Dance show at the Daneside Theatre.

LYRICAL

Our lyrical class is a very popular modern style of dance. Taking aspects of Ballet, Jazz and Acrobatics, lyrical choreography gives students the opportunity to be expressive and create strong emotional routines. With an emphasis on technique and flexibility.

Students have the opportunity to work towards exams and the LB Dance show.

STREET DANCE

Our Street Dance classes are high energy & fun! A fantastic confidence builder, students will learn routines, technique and coordination. Working towards exams and a show every year. Our Street Dance classes are accessible to all ages and abilities.

BALLET

We believe that Ballet is the core of every dance style and is hugely beneficial for any child. We encourage all our students to take part in Ballet, our classes are friendly and positive. Our school and teachers are ISTD certified and teach the ISTD classical ballet syllabus. Keeping up to date with all the latest teaching methods and training available. Students work towards taking ISTD exams and have the opportunity to take part in the LB Dance show held at the Daneside Theatre. 

TAP

Our teachers and classes follow the ISTD syllabus. Keeping up to date with all the latest teaching methods and training available. children have the opportunity to work towards ISTD exams and the LB Dance show held at the Daneside Theatre. Our tap classes are fun, friendly and hugely beneficial. Developing rhythm, coordination, musicality and much more! 

CONTEMPORARY

Our teachers and classes follow the ISTD Intermediate foundation Contemporary Syllabus. Newly created to give students a strong base and knowledge of Contemporary Dance, preparing them for the sophisticated varied training of vocational schools. Our Contemporary class is aimed at students that already have a strong dance background, in particular Ballet is important to aid the technique that is need to accurately perform Contemporary.
